Khozema Palanpurwala, MD FAAP
Dr. Palanpurwala founded Pediatric Healthcare of Northwest Houston in 1999 to pursue his passion and to take care of the children of Northwest Houston. He did his residency at University of Illinois. His career concentration of over 14 years in Primary Care Pediatric Medicine earns him a great respect in the Northwest Houston community. He is Board-Certified and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has hospital privileges at Tomball Regional Hospital, Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center, and the Methodist Hospital at Willowbrook. Dr. Palanpurwala has a great understanding of parenting issues and provides family health care solutions.
Mythili Rangan, MD FAAP
Dr. Rangan received her medical education from Kilpauk Medical College in India and graduated in 1976. Her love for children leads her to pursue pediatric internship and residency training from Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York. Since then she has been practicing Primary Pediatric Medicine. She is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rangan has been in pediatric medicine since 1981 in Houston and lives with the husband who is a physician. She is a proud mother of twin boys who fill all the joy in her life. She strongly believes in preventive care medicine and is an excellent patient/parent educator. Dr. Rangan has been associated with Pediatric Healthcare of Northwest Houston since 2001.
Haiyen T Le, MD FAAP
Dr. Le graduated from University of Texas in Houston in 1997. She brings with her a rich experience in Primary Care Pediatric Medicine from her residency at University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Le is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Le has been with PHNWH since 2003. She has hospital privileges at Tomball Regional Hospital and The Methodist Hospital at Willowbrook. Dr. Le has particular interest in newborns, breastfeeding, allergies and asthma. Dr Le has 3 children. She is fluent in Vietnamese.
Shehnaz Jacob, MD
Dr. Jacob, a medical graduate of 1975 from Christian Medical College in India, completed her residency program at Brooklyn Cumberland Hospital and at St. Louis City Hospital in Primary Care Pediatric Medicine. She is associated with Pediatric Healthcare of Northwest Houston since 2006 and derives pleasure in adding value to the life of children within the Northwest Houston community. She enjoys outdoor sports and exploring natural beauty by traveling extensively.
Ifeyinwa Christine Edeki, MD FAAP
Dr. Edeki is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and completed her residency program in General Pediatrics at Texas Children Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital. Dr. Edeki loves participating in community activities and has visited Botswana, India, and Mexico providing general adult and pediatric medical services and preventive health counseling. Her personal interest is in dermatology and infectious disease and also enjoys doing short-term missions work in developing nations.
Kimberly D Lazarus, MD FAAP
Dr. Lazarus has been practicing as a Primary Care Pediatrician in Texas for over 5 years. She did her undergraduate education in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University and earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Lazarus loves working with children and enjoys providing advice on preventive medical care and healthy growth plans while interacting with parents.

Juan Oscar Chuy, MD FAAP
Dr Chuy is a medical graduate from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in 1992. He completed his residency program at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he also served as Chief Resident and later did a Fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics. He is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is interested in providing the best care for the pediatric population with emphasis on education and preventive care. Dr Chuy is fluent in Spanish.
Valerie Kuczbel, MSN RN CPNP
Ms. Kuczbel did her graduation in 1987 from Lakehead University, Canada and received post Master’s degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas in 1999, where she was an Assistant Professor. She is also a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and has several years experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Ms. Kuczbel joined Pediatric Healthcare of NW Houston in 2006 and has added value by promoting optimal health through education, prevention, immunization, early recognition & treatment that is best suitable for the child and family. She loves nature and spends her personal time gardening and with her lovely cats. She is an avid book reader.
Julie Mong-Thu Nguyen, MSN RN CPNP
Ms. Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and a Master of Science in Nursing – Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 1999 from University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Nguyen is the recipient of the “Faithful Steward Award” for Hurricane Ike relief efforts and has been voted “Best Pediatric Nurse Practitioner” in Southeast Texas for three years in a row since 2007. One of the most important attributes of Ms Nguyen is her ability to combine efficiency and effectiveness in patient care that earns happiness and satisfaction for child and family.
Stephanie CCYU Chon, MSN RN CPNP
Ms. Chon has many years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University and earned her Master's degree in Nursing from University of Texas in Houston. Stephanie has worked with Texas Children’s Hospital in the Hematology-Oncology department and Same Day Surgery. Stephanie is greatly involved in the Cypress Community working with youth and participating in short-term missions. Stephanie has rich experience in assessing and diagnosing acute minor illnesses, evaluating premature infants, conducting well child visits and physicals for school, sports, and camps. Her on-going professional objective is to promote and to educate children and teens to make healthy choices.
